Our History
Kurtz Excavating was founded by Josh Kurtz in 2005 in the small village of North Bennington VT. The company was born from a need to provide for his young family at the time as well his interest in the excavation industry. As he operated his company with priniciples of integrity and fairness, Kurtz Excavating grew to become a trusted provider of excavation services in the community. Later, as Josh became involved in a church mission work in nearby New Hampshire, the company was sold in 2018 to employee Eric Martin, who in partnership with his father, Vergil Martin and the help of a motivated crew continue to meet the requests of the growing customer base in the southern VT region.
